OVERVIEW
Couple therapy intensives offer extended, focused time to slow down the cycle, deepen emotional engagement, and create meaningful movement that is difficult to achieve in a standard 50‑minute session. While weekly therapy is effective, it has structural limits for many couples who are trying to repair injuries to their bond or who have negative cycles that have been difficult to shift. The nervous system takes time to settle, open, and access the emotional depth where transformation happens. Often, the most important work begins right as the session must stop. Intensives allow the process to continue at the exact point where weekly therapy pauses, creating deeper movement and more sustained emotional shifts.
At this time, intensives are offered exclusively to couples already engaged in ongoing weekly therapy with Dr.Ko. Dr. Ko anticipates opening intensives to new clients in the future as availability expands.
WHO INTENSIVES ARE FOR
Intensives may be a good fit for couples who:
Feel stuck or plateaued in weekly therapy
Are navigating a rupture, transition, or acute distress
Want to accelerate progress toward deeper emotional connection
Prefer focused, immersive work rather than waiting week to week for small windows of movement
Have a more complex or reactive cycle that needs additional time to slow down and organize
Find that their nervous system takes longer to settle or warm up before deeper emotional work becomes accessible
Have an attachment injury that needs more time, space, and depth than weekly therapy can reliably provide
Notice that the most important material emerges at the end of weekly sessions, when the clock runs out
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
3-Hour Intensive | $1,500
4-Hour Intensive | $2,100
Intensives are priced at premium rates because they involve a different level of emotional pacing, clinical preparation, and therapist stamina than weekly sessions. The extended time allows the nervous system to settle, open, and stay with deeper emotional material without interruption. Pricing reflects the immersive nature of this work, the depth of clinical engagement required, and the recovery time needed after holding a longer, more intensive therapeutic arc.
Intensives are offered exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays and are currently available only to existing clients.
DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
A 50% non‑refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of scheduling to reserve an intensive. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.
Because intensives require significant preparation and weekend availability, cancellations or rescheduling within 7 days are subject to the full fee. In cases of illness or emergency, a one‑time courtesy reschedule may be offered when possible, though the deposit remains non‑refundable.
